What are common editing tools used in lab 6?

What are common editing tools used in lab 6? We used the sponge tool that saturates of desaturates the part of your image. The sharpen tool is used to make the details more clear. The blur tool blurs the image. The smudge tool makes it as if a finger has been dragged accross the image. The dodge tool makes the image brighter. The burn tool makes the image darker. The spot healing tool and the healing brush makes objects disappear or get colored over. The patch and content aware move tool allow you to select an area and move it around to where it looks like it is naturally part of the image.

why attention to detail and following procedure are important elements of Web Designing?

We must pay attention to detail. It can make of break what you have been spending your time on. It is important because if someone is hired to photoshop a website for a bakery, they should not make the site black. Colors are probably one of the most important things to pay attention to. They define the mood of whatever it is that you are doing. Also following directions are important. when it comes to photoshop, everyone is always one click away from failure. The order of layers, the way you copy something, and the labeling of the layers are all so important to the process that is using photoshop.

I chose Kanye West because he is well known and possibly one of the richest men alive. I put images of a microphone, money, the shoes he designed, a quote from him, a picture of his wife, 2 album covers, and his house. My mask made to put images "in" him and a new fill layer around him. I just stated what the images were and how they relate to him. For a while my path wasn't working correctly, but my images look appealing and the are no left over spaces within the silhouette.

Lab 6 reflection journal

In this lab we restored image and discovered new tools. We removed sprinklers and recreated the corner of and image. We removed things that were in the photo like bullet holes and the letters DJ carved into a rock. W adjusted the colors, the amount of blurriness and sharpness, and the saturation of an image with the blur, sponge, and sharpen tools. Finally we filled in a gradient layer and made our own patterns

Project 2 Andy Warhol Portraits

Warhol was a pop artist in the 1950's and was known for his portraits and logos. I would buy Warhol's artwork because it has a creative side that could only be expressed through the detail and care of him. His
work is unique and it has a one of a kind perspective. Andy Warhol's work reminds me of street artists that take an everyday object and turn it into something special. They use doors and windows. The association is significant to me because I was very fond of street art when I was little. The very few times I took the subway somewhere, there were stories being told through art. In pop culture critics view and decide whether art is significant, valuable, or pleasing to the senses.

I have many “takes” on the project we did. An informed opinion is one that is not knowledgeable or worthy of note. An informed opinion on the other hand is one with great experience and knowledge about a subject. Taste is a preference to a certain set of characteristics with an open mind, whereas bias in the more negative closed-minded way of thinking about a certain set of characteristics. I like Warhol's Cam-belle's soup artwork. The soup can is the focus and is carefully centered to draw attention. The color is sort of bland or dull but that draws out the third aspect of it. It is an everyday item that would otherwise have been overlooked. It was just a random object but now with a value in the canvas. Portraits are not important to us anymore because we can take a picture that is much faster ad cheaper. Artist painted portraits throughout the ages to show someone with and exaggerated trait such as boldness or leadership. Although it is not said, the colors and the outlines of someone in a portrait can convey them as bold.

I feel very creative and happy to get to model myself into a Warhol style portrait. I created my Warhol portrait of myself by taking a picture, turning it black and white, and making it into four smaller pictures. I then colored the backgrounds of each smaller picture. I used the quick selection tool, the rectangular marquee tool, and the lasso tool. This skill can help me get a career in web designing long-term. Short-term, because it came out so well, I see myself using the project as wallpaper for my devices' backgrounds.
