Lab 8 Vector Shapes

In this we added and labeled different shapes. I used the rectangle shape tool, the pentagonal shape tool, ellipse tool, and the custom shape tool. This can be useful in life if  you need to make a simple and colorful design. I learned how to add and subtract from a shape that I made too.

Lab 7 Filters

In this lab we chose images and altered them using filters. We used the text tool and move tool because it was mostly adding filters. We selected the layers, clicked filters, and chose from the gallery. This skill is useful in the case that you have to create a design for something. This is useful in life because if you are hired to make a website, altered backgrounds and pictures look better.

What are common editing tools used in lab 6?

What are common editing tools used in lab 6? We used the sponge tool that saturates of desaturates the part of your image. The sharpen tool is used to make the details more clear. The blur tool blurs the image. The smudge tool makes it as if a finger has been dragged accross the image. The dodge tool makes the image brighter. The burn tool makes the image darker. The spot healing tool and the healing brush makes objects disappear or get colored over. The patch and content aware move tool allow you to select an area and move it around to where it looks like it is naturally part of the image.

why attention to detail and following procedure are important elements of Web Designing?

We must pay attention to detail. It can make of break what you have been spending your time on. It is important because if someone is hired to photoshop a website for a bakery, they should not make the site black. Colors are probably one of the most important things to pay attention to. They define the mood of whatever it is that you are doing. Also following directions are important. when it comes to photoshop, everyone is always one click away from failure. The order of layers, the way you copy something, and the labeling of the layers are all so important to the process that is using photoshop.

project 4

I chose Kanye West because he is well known and possibly one of the richest men alive. I put images of a microphone, money, the shoes he designed, a quote from him, a picture of his wife, 2 album covers, and his house. My mask made to put images "in" him and a new fill layer around him. I just stated what the images were and how they relate to him. For a while my path wasn't working correctly, but my images look appealing and the are no left over spaces within the silhouette.

Lab 6 reflection journal

In this lab we restored image and discovered new tools. We removed sprinklers and recreated the corner of and image. We removed things that were in the photo like bullet holes and the letters DJ carved into a rock. W adjusted the colors, the amount of blurriness and sharpness, and the saturation of an image with the blur, sponge, and sharpen tools. Finally we filled in a gradient layer and made our own patterns

Project 2 Andy Warhol Portraits

Warhol was a pop artist in the 1950's and was known for his portraits and logos. I would buy Warhol's artwork because it has a creative side that could only be expressed through the detail and care of him. His
work is unique and it has a one of a kind perspective. Andy Warhol's work reminds me of street artists that take an everyday object and turn it into something special. They use doors and windows. The association is significant to me because I was very fond of street art when I was little. The very few times I took the subway somewhere, there were stories being told through art. In pop culture critics view and decide whether art is significant, valuable, or pleasing to the senses.

I have many “takes” on the project we did. An informed opinion is one that is not knowledgeable or worthy of note. An informed opinion on the other hand is one with great experience and knowledge about a subject. Taste is a preference to a certain set of characteristics with an open mind, whereas bias in the more negative closed-minded way of thinking about a certain set of characteristics. I like Warhol's Cam-belle's soup artwork. The soup can is the focus and is carefully centered to draw attention. The color is sort of bland or dull but that draws out the third aspect of it. It is an everyday item that would otherwise have been overlooked. It was just a random object but now with a value in the canvas. Portraits are not important to us anymore because we can take a picture that is much faster ad cheaper. Artist painted portraits throughout the ages to show someone with and exaggerated trait such as boldness or leadership. Although it is not said, the colors and the outlines of someone in a portrait can convey them as bold.

I feel very creative and happy to get to model myself into a Warhol style portrait. I created my Warhol portrait of myself by taking a picture, turning it black and white, and making it into four smaller pictures. I then colored the backgrounds of each smaller picture. I used the quick selection tool, the rectangular marquee tool, and the lasso tool. This skill can help me get a career in web designing long-term. Short-term, because it came out so well, I see myself using the project as wallpaper for my devices' backgrounds.

In this project I learned how to create a mask and blur the background. This is why the background has no defined shapes.

I liked that I could show my creativity because many classes do not do these kinds of things. I did not like how the layers had to be rasterized, I was confused.

This was important because it teaches me the necessary and creative skills I might need later in life.

How do we take notes? We take notes by first paying attention in class. We write down the important points. It does not matter how these points are presented for them to be noted. They can be spoken or written. Notes are fundamental and should be taken often.

In this lab I took a single image and changed its hue, replaced its color, put it to black and white, and altered its saturation. I used the eye dropper for the most part. I selected the layer and I used the eye dropper to change the aspects of the image. This skill is useful because it can help you change something so it looks way better. For example I like rose better when it is purple rather than when it is pink. I can see myself using this if i am the web designer for a company and the want me to alter a picture for their website.
In this lab I created a face out of various foods we were given in the base. I used the magic wand tool, the quick selection tool, the lasso tools, and the marquee tools. I made the selections and rearranged them to make a face "via layer via copy." this skill is useful in the case that I would want to add  of remove something from a picture. I can see myself using this in the future when i want something in a picture or if  I got photobombed or something like that.
In this lab we classified different types of camera angles. we basically use only the move and text tool. we put the pictures on the background and labled them. This skill is useful because it lets you tell the difference between various types of images. I can use this in a photography job when my employer tells me to get a certain type of picture.

Lab 3 image adjustment

I selected an image of a dog and adjusted its colors. I used the lasso and the eyedropper tool. I clicked the layer and put image the adjustments and played with the saturation and hue. This skill is useful because it allows you to change the color of something in the picture. I see myself using this skill for example when i try to change a picture's color.

photoshop selection tools

1. To use the magnetic lasso tool, you select it, click once, and trace around the object you intend to select.
2. To make a selection using the magic wand tool, just click in the object intended to be selected. Click the area that wasn't selected to select all of the object.
3. In order to select something with the quick selection tool, follow the same steps as the magic wand tool. Click inside the object, click inside the non selected area.
4. To create a blog post go to your apps, go to blogger, click the pencil icon, compose, and publish.

My name is Kevin Veress and I am one of a kind. I am a student at Information
Technology High School. I'm in tenth grade at age fifteen. I am eager to learn new things about
technology because it is one of the most fascinating things to me. aside from technology I like sports,
video games, and the color green. my favorite sport is basketball. my acceptance to the web designing academy  made me very excited and I'm hoping for a great year.
My web designing class looks very interesting and I am really curious to see were it takes me. I am in the web designing academy because to hopefully build a career with the skills I acquire from the class. I want to learn how to make websites, edit pictures, and possible learn to make an interactive website. I plan to show up everyday on time,  do my work, follow directions, and learn as I go along. Web designing is more to me than just a class, it can make the path for my future.
